The V Festival was excellent. I saw all the bands I wanted to see. Worthy of particular mention were the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, the Foo Fighters, The Hives, Feeder and Ash, whose sets were all really good.
Dave Grohl was really good with the crowd during the Foo Fighters set. It was pretty cool to see the whole crowd laughing along to his jokes and so on and you could tell he was really enjoying playing the gig. The Red Hot Chilli Peppers were just amazing. They are so good at playing their instruments it’s unreal. Such talent combined with excellent song writing, a sum even greater than its parts if ever there was one.Ash were my favourites though. I managed to get pretty well right up to the front so my view was really good. I love Ash, so being so close was definitely a thing I liked. As usual, they played an amazing set, all the old favourites. They also played a couple of their new songs. If the new songs were anything like the songs that will be on their forthcoming album, we are in for a treat indeed.
